林摶秋推理類型文本的敘事批評分析

Abstract

60年代台語電影發展出多種不同類型片,其中以「尋求真相、找出犯人」為核心的推理題材在戒嚴時期白色恐怖的政治氛圍之下顯得充滿矛盾。因此本文試圖以語藝學的敘事批評作為取徑,針對作品中場景、角色、情節三項敘事元素進行分析,探究台語電影導演林摶秋推理類型的電影和劇本敘事中欲傳達的價值主張。 分析結果顯示,林摶秋透過推理類型的作品,傳達追求真相作為現代性價值的敘事意涵,背後隱含著民主自由的後設關懷。在敘事可能性的評估上,敘事元素彼此間具備高度的內部邏輯一致性;在敘事忠實性的評估上,雖與歷史和文化的社會脈絡相符,然而政治方面卻與當時戒嚴專制的台灣社會嚴重脫鉤,儘管如此,就超越性議題的角度而言其作品依然不失為具有足夠說服力的好理由。
In the 1960s, Taiwanese films developed many different genres of films. Among them, the subject of mystery genres, which take “pursuing the truth and finding out the murderer” as the core, is full of contradictions under the political atmosphere of white terror during martial law. Thus, this paper uses the method of narrative criticism to analyze Taiwanese Movie director, Lin Tuan-Chiu’s mystery films and scripts, trying to find out the advocate behind. In terms of themes of narrative, the research result shows that Lin Tuan-Chiu tried to use mystery genres which advocating the importance of pursuing the truth, and there has meta-concern of freedom and democracy. In the assessment of narrative probability, narrative elements have a high degree of logical consistency with each other. In the assessment of narrative fidelity, although it is consistent with the historical and cultural context, but it decoupled from political context. Nevertheless, from the perspective of transcendent issue, it is still a convincing reason.
