紙、墨之於個人創作語彙——蕭宇倢創作論述

Abstract

平面繪畫作為歷史悠久的藝術表現形式，在現今許多媒體藝術與其他視覺藝術相繼出現之時，我們將如何利用現代的眼光看待固有的材料（本論文將以宣紙、墨為講述重點），並透過創作所使用之媒材物質性，藉由發揮其特殊性彰顯個人創作特色，除了強調物質性做為藝術表現之形式所能誘發的特殊氣質外，同時以創作實踐發展平面繪畫的可能性，同時討論其藝術性。本論文一共分為五章；第一章〈緒論〉說明本論文研究範圍及基本的創作背景。第二章〈創作圖像分析〉主在描述創作視覺上的特徵，從灰階的使用、創作方法、展示方式以及非具象圖像等面向做說明。第三章〈媒材與其物質性〉從紙張的歷史脈絡討論宣紙存在於當今的價值，並從紙張物質性探討如何藉由其特殊性發揮個人風格。第四章〈藝術脈絡上的定位〉以東西方在抽象表現後的藝術發展分別與自身作品之異同作比較，並說明創作如何回應所處時代。第五章〈結論〉本章節簡單總結我藉由創作如何探究平面創作之可能性，以及90年代藝術家在繪畫表現上的嘗試，最後說明未來創作方向。Painting is seen as a long-established art from. At a time when variety visual arts and new media art have emerged in nowadays. How will we see traditional materials (which are xuan paper and ink) in a different light? Through the materiality of the materials used in my art practice, not only enhance their properties, but also develop personal features through creations. Art can emphasize the temperament that behind materiality, apart from this, I will explore the possibility of painting through creative practice.The thesis is divided into five chapters, and the first chapter, “Introduction”, explains the research scope and fundamental background to my creations of this thesis. The second chapter “Image Analysis” mainly describes the characteristics of my creation, from the aspects of color, method, form, and non-representative image. The third chapter “Material and Its Materiality” from a historical perspective to discuss the existence value of xuan paper. In addition, trying to figure out how to develop personal style based on its materialities. The fourth chapter “Positioning in the context of art” comparing the similarities and differences between the Minimalism and Mono Ha, and how they influenced my works. The fifth chapter “Conclusion” briefly summarizes how I explored the possibility of two-dimensional painting through my practice, as well as how artists’ attempts in painting in the 1990s, and finally explains further experimentation of my practice.
