Abstract

Adopting a qualitative research approach, it focuses on a case study methodology and document analysis, complemented by observational methods and in-depth interviews. Through one-on-one interviews, the research investigates the underlying reasons, form, outcomes and future prospects of the diversification strategies implemented by the Taipei Wind Orchestra and Symphonic Band. This examination encompasses the organization's operational status, financial health, the educational and social value of its subsidiary ensembles, as well as strategies for concert planning and audience development. The study's conclusions aim to offer strategic recommendations for the future progression of the Taipei Wind Orchestra and Symphonic Band.
