Abstract
本研究旨在瞭解國內圖書館與資訊中心合併後的現況,並了解合併單位的組織成員對合併的期望,分析組織成員對合併的看法,做為未來圖書館與資訊中心合併的參考。本研究採用問卷調查法,以國內大專校院圖書館與資訊中心合併的組織成員為研究對象。
本研究結果發現,(一)圖書館與資訊中心合併後,最高主管之背景宜兼有圖書資訊與資訊科技二學科;(二)圖書館與資訊中心合併後,組織成員認為需要進一步改善專業能力分組及簡化工作流程;(三)圖書館與資訊中心合併後,創新服務需要進一步改善;(四)圖書館與資訊中心合併後,為提供良好服務品質,在人力與預算需妥善考量。
本研究建議,基於圖書館與資訊中心之核心服務內容並不相同,學校對於此二單位的合併需要審慎思考,並與兩單位成員進行深入的溝通,建立合適的組織架構,才能有效地達成合併此二單位的目標,同時創造新單位的價值。
The purpose of this study is to understand current situation of merging with the library and the information center, and the expectation of the merged department members. A questionnaire survey was distributed to in-service employees of library and information centers of domestic universities. The results of the survey indicate that 1) after the merger of the library and the information center, the background of the top executives should both have library science and computer science; 2) after the merger of the library and the information center, members of the merged organization believe that there is a need to improve the grouping of specialized competencies and to streamline their work processes; 3) after the merger of the library and the information center, the innovation service needs to be improved; 4) after the merger of the library and the information center, manpower and budget should be considered properly in order to provide good service quality. According to the results of the study, this study suggests that, based on the core content of the library and information center is not the same, the school should think carefully about the merger of these two departments, make an in-depth communication with the members of these two departments, and establish an appropriate organizational structure in order to achieve effectively the purpose of this two departments merged and create the value of the new department at the same time.
