Abstract
多年來國內在引進新科技上,可謂不落人後,但常常卻落入一廂情願似的吶喊。以虛擬圖書館為例,所建構出來的不需實體空間、二十四小時服務的意象,常常有言過於實的症狀。本文主要是想從現象學的角度,批判這種不需實體空間的虛擬圖書館的論述。空間一向是人類互動與生存的基礎,圖書館的空間在這方面有其不可忽視的意義,這當然也是在提醒圖書館員不要人云亦云,而應有批判的反省能力。
For so many years, librarians in Taiwan have embraced new technology without any hesitation, however, the problem is with their claim of the future. For instance, the people who believe in virtual library, tends to create the image of "a library without physical space," with twenty-four hours of information services. Based upon the viewpoint of phenomenology, the author of this article tries to criticize the above discourse, and to remind the librarians should have a second thought about what their claiming.
