Abstract

本研究從筆者的母語-臺語出發,以語言承載文化的這一個概念探尋跟臺語族群相關的民俗及文化。但相關的語言、民俗以及文化都是正在消失的,因此在探尋的同時也要探討消失的原因。文中由文化霸權理論開始論述特定民族如何透過國家機器打壓其他民族。接著以相關歷史研究探討中華民國佔領臺灣後,如何在教育體制內外來實行國語政策,還有以「勤儉建國」、「民俗改善」以及「統一祭典」等口號、政策來打壓本土民俗。在打壓過後留下的是對自身的制約、刻板印象等影響,而要去除這些負面印象就要建立自身的文化主體性,才不會被相關議題牽著鼻子走。在需要改變時才能有適當的改變。 筆者以藝術創作來回應自身文化,並將作品分成三個系列作品來探討,分別回應不同面向的議題。〈Cháu-chhōe Tâi-gí(尋找臺語)〉系列探討臺語受迫害的議題;〈Cháu-chhōe bîn-sio̍k(尋找民俗)〉系列則是回應、表現筆者親身參與的民俗-北管;〈Ho Lu Mo Siā (福爾摩社)〉系列則是探討文化中的其他領域,像是臺語文學以及歌曲的部分。本篇創作研究共分成六個章節,第一章說明筆者在進行臺語文化相關創作的研究動機、目的、範圍、方法及限制。第二章講述筆者創作的相關理論。第三章說明跟臺語文化創作相關的藝術理論,和舉出跟筆者的創作主題相關的藝術家。第四章敘述筆者的創作理念以及如何進行創作。第五章說明筆者三個系列的創作內容以及形式技法的分析。第六章則是回顧筆者這一系列創作的過程還有對未來的展望。
This research starts from the author’s mother language – Taiwanese. Searching for folklore and culture related to Taiwanese by the concept that language carries culture. But the language, folklore and culture are disappearing. Therefore, we’ll have to discuss the reason why it disappeared while searching. This research discusses how specific ethnos suppress other ethnos through the power of country, from cultural hegemony theory. Then discuss how Republic of China operates Mandarin Policy in and out of educate system, by historical research. Also suppressed native folklore by policy and slogans like “Founding by Diligence”, “Folklore Improve” and “Unite Festival”. What left after the suppress, is the restraint to ourselves and stereotypes. To clean off the negative impressions, we’ll have to build the cultural subjectivity of ourselves. Therefore we won’t be easily influence by issues, and change properly while needed. Author responds culture by art creation. Separate to three series to discuss, responds to different aspect of issues. Cháu-chhōe Tâi-gí (Searching Taiwanese) series discuss the issue of Taiwanese been suppressed. Cháu-chhōe bîn-sio̍k (Searching folklore) respond, express the folklore that author participates. Ho Lu Mo Siā (Formosa) series discuss other fields of culture, like literature and songs. This research is divided into six chapters. Chapter one describes the motivation, purpose, range, methods and restrictions of author’s research about creations related to Taiwanese culture. Chapter two describes theories related to author’s creations. Chapter three describes art theories related to creations about Taiwanese culture. And mentions artists related to topic of author’s creation. Chapter four describe the creative ideas of author and how author creates. Chapter five describes the contents of three series creation. And analyzation of forms and techniques. Chapter six reviews the process of author’s series creation. And the outlooks of future.
