金融自由化與政治民主化的空間模型發展：所得不均的觀點

Abstract

本計畫嘗試透過所得分配不均程度的角度，探討金融自由化與政治民主化 之間的關聯性，並使用空間模型的方法進行分析，強調使用地理鄰近關係、社 會整體所得分配程度以及社群網絡性質的互動關係等不同特色的空間因素。嘗 試驗證金融自由化與政治民主化的交互影響過程，是否會隨著不同區域特質， 或是空間因素的變化而有所改變。並融合「阿拉伯之春」的民主革命特色，以 及「佔領華爾街」的運動訴求，嘗試以空間分析的角度探討金融自由化對所得 不均程度，以及所得不均程度對政治民主化的影響性。強調區域性質的重要性 不僅侷限於區域本身的特色，更應著重在區域之間的連結與互動過程（包含區 域之間的政治經濟與社群網絡關係）。 最後將在縱橫資料模型的發展與建構上，同時比較橫斷面性質、時間序列 性質與空間交互性質等因素對金融自由化與政治民主化的交互影響性，亦進一 步比較「整體」區域與「局部」區域的影響關係，檢驗空間效果是否顯著存在 不同區域間，說明以空間計量模型分析區域國家之間金融自由化、政治民主化 與所得分配不均程度的交互作用是重要的。

Although spatial econometrics is being used in more frequently in financial liberalization and political democratization research, but is only at the initial developmental phase in Taiwanese political science research. This study extends past applications based on geographical notions of distance, introducing the perspective of income inequality and utilizing different levels of data, income inequality and social networks to conduct a more fruitful study between financial liberalization and political democratization. As a study between financial liberalization, income inequality and political democratization, this plan also specifies different functions of spatial lagged model, spatial error model, and geographically weighted regression in different study settings. At the last stage, this study considers the role of spatial econometrics in analyzing time series and cross-section data, and expects that a testable and plausible model can be developed and applied to the studies of financial liberalization, income inequality and political democratization.
