Abstract
本研究旨在瞭解國中生之人格特質與休閒參與之現況與其相關情形，並探討不同性別、年級，與居住地區之國中生人格特質與休閒參與之差異。
首先透過文獻探討以瞭解人格特質與休閒參與之涵義、理論基礎及相關研究。接著，編製「國中生人格特質與休閒參與問卷」，以台灣地區國中生為樣本，採行問卷調查法，共發出1000份問卷，有效問卷共919份。所得資料以描述性統計、獨立樣本t考驗、單因子變異數分析等進行統計分析。茲將本研究結論歸納如下：
一、國中生人格特質以「外向性」最高。
二、國中生人格特質因「性別」與「居住地區」之不同而有差異，然而，不因 「年級」不同而有所差異。
三、國中生休閒參與頻率最高者為「運動性」休閒活動；最低的是「戶外活動性」休閒活動。
四、國中生休閒參與因「性別」、「年級」以及「居住地區」等之不同而有差異。
五、國中生的人格特質與休閒參與有顯著相關。
最後，本研究依據研究結論提出對教育行政機關、國民中學、國中生、家長，以及未來研究之建議。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between personality and leisure participation of junior high school students , and to analyze the differences of gender, grade, and regional variables. Starting with a review of the literatures was presented to understand the meaning , basic theory, and related researches of personality and leisure participation. Then the revised survey result by the researcher of “Questionnaire of Personality and Leisure Participation for Junior High School Students”. The survey consisted of 1,000 junior high school students in Taiwan participants, 919 of them were valid. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. The main results were as following: 1. The majority of Taiwan junior high school students were extraversion. 2. Differentiating the personality traits of junior high school students from gender and regions; however, they were not influenced by grade. 3. The most frequent leisure activity which junior high school students participate was sports related, and the least was outdoor activity. 4. The leisure participation of junior high school students were further differentiated by gender, grade and regions. 5. There was a significant correlation between personality traits and leisure participation. Finally, according to the result of this research, the study provided some suggestions for the educational administrative institutions, junior high school institutions, students, parents and further researchers as well.
