無中文摘要
There has been an increasing interest in work engagement (WE) over the past ten years. Previous research indicates that work engagement is positively related to organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and also positively related to perceived social impact (PSI). However, researcher pay little attention to the perceived social impact and organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between perceived social impact and organizational citizenship behavior, and work engagement serve as mediator in the relationship. This study hypothesizes that perceived social impact has a positive impact on organizational citizenship behavior, and work engagement will mediate the relationship between perceived social impact and organizational citizenship behavior. This study adopted quantitative research design and online-based questionnaires to collect the data. Participants of this study were full-time participants in the service industry in Taiwan. IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 were used to do the descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis to provide sample profile information and test the hypotheses. Results show that PSI is positively and significantly associated with work engagement and OCB. Work engagement is positively and significantly related to OCB whereas work engagement would mediate the positive relationship between PSI and OCB.
