Abstract

Since the 20th century, the development of art has tended to use the"body" as a medium to present the thinking and reaction of life under cultural and social changes. A form of performance that is inseparable from the "body"–"dance" has an important role in the history of art. Around the 1960s, there was an interaction between dance and visual arts. At the same time, with the development of technology, many artists have been triggered to advance interdisciplinary experiments. The combination of technology and dance presents a different experience from the past. The range of expression of the"body" is expanded, and the concept of performance and stage has more diverse forms. The space of expression of "body" has expanded, the concept of performance and stage has more diverse ways of expression. The breaking of the boundary of "space" has also evolved in the trend of today's performance curation. "Dance in the Museum" is a transition from a traditional theater space to a contemporary exhibition space, and combines the concepts of "exhibition" and "performance". In view of this, thisthesis takes "body" as the main issue, and extends into two aspects: "technological intervention in dance" and "dance in the museum". Specifically analyze the cultural meaning of body in Loop Me, Second Body, Huang Yi and Kuka, You Choreograph and Transparency. By applying Merleau-Pontian phenomenological concepts as methodology, focusing on body, space, time, and lived world, illustrate intersubjective condition among body, space, and dancers/participants in "dance-body" structure.
