Abstract

2016年1月,路透社的新聞研究機構向全球公布《2016年新聞、媒體、技術預測》報告,報告指出,平價智慧手機的出現,到2020年,智慧手機覆蓋率預計將達80%世界人口,未來五年,線上視訊量將增加14倍,70%手機流量將消耗在觀看手機視訊。在美國,已經有超過5000萬家庭使用OTT網際網路應用服務,多數使用者展開「剪線運動」,也就是退訂有線電視,「網路影音」的興起,或將驅使許多使用者退訂有線電視。 多數人誤以為「網路影音」是將電視節目po上YouTube或其他社群平台,其實這兩者運行邏輯完全不同。作者以為,網路影音要有獨特性,且必須是原生、自製內容,才符合新電視時代、新媒體趨勢。 作者目前擔任聯合報系udn tv影音新聞部製作人,2015年承接金曲獎網路影音節目製作,從任務啟動、企畫內容、promo腳本創作、主持人選定、採訪、片頭設計、鏡面規畫、企畫宣傳等,每個環節均親自規畫執行,因此以此主題撰寫技術報告。 作者執行金曲專案,所有規畫內容皆與電視概念脫勾,藉由各種宣傳,將觀眾導向網路觀賞,並規畫社群互動機制,專案執行近三個月,作者親自參與每個過程,除精準控制各作業進度,也不斷與各單位協調、溝通,播出後獲得社內長官高度肯定,創下udn tv首支網路播放高規格影音專輯。期望藉由本次創新經驗,製作技術報告,在新媒體浪潮中,做為網路影音節目製作的參考。
The report《Media, Journalism and Technology Predictions 2016》has been published, by Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, in January 2016. It concludes three main trends towards a rise of online video and disruption of Television. First of all, with the entry price for a smartphone is around $35, smartphones are projected to reach around 80% of the world’s population by 2020. Secondly, video is expected to grow 14 times within five years and account for 70% of mobile network traffic. Meanwhile, in the US around 50 million households now subscribe to OTT (Over the Top) service. Consumers are starting to embrace "cord-cutting": cancelling their cable TV service or getting rid of channels they do not watch. Online Video has been misunderstood generally as the clips of TV shows/programs uploaded off YouTube and any other social platforms. In a fact, Online Video does not equal to TV shows/programs and its production progress differs from TV's. In author's opinion, the essentials of the current Online Video for new media in the new TV era are uniqueness, native and original contents. The author has been the producer of udn tv, which is the branch of United Daily News Group, around five years and had operated the online program of 26th Golden Melody Awards in 2015 in Mandarin. The project includes planning, promotion, host and hostess audition, interviews, scripts and title bar and graphic design, those were executed step by step by the author. Based on the project, the purpose of the technical report was to assess the practical process and production of Online Video in the current trend. In the project, the author had applied internet-orientated production, which nearly differed from the one of traditional TV, to attract target audiences to watch the online video through specific promotion and to send feedback via social platforms. The author kept communicating with the related departments and precisely managing the work in around three months on the project, which has been the first formatted and successful task of online video approved by the supervisors in udn tv. The experiences of this technical report may serve as a guide and a reference for Online Video production in New Media era.
