Abstract
This study aimed to explore the relationship between mindfulness anddepression, and the mediation effects of the subjective well-being. A survey wasused to collect the data from 372 college students. Participants completed measuresof Chinese mindfulness awareness attention scale, subjective well-being scale andTaiwan depression scale. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statisticsand structural equation modeling. The findings were summarized as follows: (1)There were the significantly correlations among mindfulness, subjective well-beingand depression. (2) Higher levels of mindfulness were associated with greatersubjective well-being and lower depression. Higher levels of subjective wellbeingwere associated with lower depression. (3) Subjective well-being mediatedthe relationship between mindfulness and depression. According to the results, discussion and suggestions for higher education practice and future research wereproposed.
