Abstract

According to the historical point of view, we are able to discover that Taiwan has many things in common with Okinawa. What Japan executed the language policy during the period of Japanese dominion was to endow the values with Japanese language no matter Taiwanese or Okinawa’s people who was treated equally under the Dominator’s values. Nevertheless, in contrast with being dominated Taiwanese and Okinawa’s people, more of less they all had different values and thought toward the Japanese language through their mind.In this article, we analyzed that during the Japanese dominion, Japanese executed the language policy, ways of teaching language, historical documents and school systems toward Taiwanese and Okinawa. Within these given values, we have found Taiwanese who were impacted from inner and outer two different consciousness. (Japanese lived in Taiwan and Japanese lived in Japan.) On the other hand, Okinawa’s people were impacted by outer only. (Japanese lived in Japan.) Due to these two consciousness, it leaded to the Japanese who would like to popularize Japanese language policy toward Taiwan and Okinawa by using different educational and teaching systems. Furthermore, after Japan was vanquished, Taiwan and Okinawa have appeared the different consequences actively and non-actively.
