Abstract

日治時期為了因應語言溝通的問題,總督府官方及民間有心人士對於臺語學習刊物的出版可說不遺餘力,除了有各項專業領域的臺語教科書、期刊之外,尚成立了不少的研究會。同時,警察制度的實施是日治時期統治臺灣一項極重要的手段,警察人員是第一線與民眾密切接觸的重要執法人員,其臺語能力的熟達也自然成為相當重要的條件。 本文透過日治時期官方訓練機構「總督府警察官及司獄官練習所」所出版的練習生《臺灣語教科書》,除介紹全書的編排體例、內容之外,並透過其中重要的「語形教學」部分,分析其教學內容的編輯要旨與內涵;再來則探討當時臺灣語書面語的形式:包含臺灣語假名的使用情形,在本書裡已有成熟完整的系統,以及在借音及訓讀字使用的比例上,訓讀字多於借音字,異於一般以臺語為母語人士的書面作品以借音字為主要手段,是其特色;最後利用語用學當中的言語行為及合作原則兩套理論,歸納出本書做為以警察為對象的語言教材,所蘊含建構的權威式的語言風格。 一方面理出日治時期臺灣語教科書的特色與價值,一方面可以古鑑今,提供現代的語言教學材料做參考。
For the difficult of communication during Japanese Governance , lots of Taiwanese Teaching Textbook were published. Futrhermore, the police was a very important governance system , and close to Taiwan people , the skill of Taiwanese became the most thing of concern. After the case study on “Taiwanese Textbook”published by the official training organization, in the writing form: it had the complete and ripe system of Taiwanses Kana , and compared with the traditional Taiwanese writing, it used the words by their meanings more than the pronouncing . Furthermore, the special vocabularies show the new culture. By pragmatics, tell us how the police enforced their power by the talking style.
