蓮華池試驗林森林水文研究之回顧分析

Abstract

以適應性概念經營森林生態系是目前許多國家的經營理念,以期滿足生態、經濟及社會需求。水文過程為森林生態系重要一環,與能量循環、養分循環、植群分佈,以及土壤化育等密切相關,故推行森林生態系經營時,了解該生態系的森林水文現象與過程是重要的事。林業試驗所自1966年起,陸續在蓮華池試驗林設置五座森林試驗集水區,進行森林水文研究;1979年更選定4號及5號集水區實施併對集水區試驗,探討集水區之森林經營(伐木作業)對水文特性的差異,供說明森林對涵養水源、減緩洪害及過濾水質等效益,開始對臺灣森林水文研究新頁。本文回以往探討蓮華池森林水文特性之相關文獻,並將其區分成四大主題:氣象水文、地表水文、地下水文及土壤沖蝕等,進行文獻歸納整理及回顧分析。本文除有助於瞭解蓮華池試驗林森林水文特性外,更期能提供爾後森林生態系經營之基礎資料的參考。
Forest ecosystem management is a principal trend in the world to meet ecological, economic and social demands. Hydrology is one of the important elements of forest ecosystem, because it closely relates to nutrient cycle, vegetation distribution, and soil development. The study of forest hydrology is essential for understanding the characteristics of forest ecosystem. In 1966, Taiwan Forestry Research Institute (TFRI) established five weirs in the Lien-hua-chi Experimental Forest to implement forest hydrological researches. In 1979, watersheds No. 4 and No. 5 were selected for the paired watershed study to investigate the effects of forest on water regulation, flooding control, and water quality improvement. Results show that forest has positive effects on the management of water resources. This research began a new era for forest hydrology in Taiwan. During the past four decades, many papers on forest hydrological researches in the Lien-hua-chi area have been published. This paper summarized and analyzed these published paper, and classified them into four themes, including hydrometeorology, surface hydrology, subsurface hydrology, and soil erosion. This paper can increase the understanding of the hydrological characteristics in the Lien-hua-chi-area, and provide the references for future ecosystem management.
