Abstract
本創作研究源於筆者觀察家中庭院荷花池的體悟與反思,在季節的推移、時序的變動下,荷花的生命週而復始的循環輪轉,促使筆者思索生命的本質意義以及如何透過繪畫創作來表現生命意象。因而,本論文將荷花作為對象,以其在生命週期中展現的樣貌為主題,試圖透過文獻學理的疏理與繪畫創作的實踐,建構出完整的創作論述與作品呈現。文獻學理的探究將以荷花生命中展現的外顯現象為基礎,從客觀的理解活動出發,由荷花的生態環境與人文背景切入討論,並逐步探尋其衍生的心智內容是如何將意象具體化。透過分析與討論文學、宗教與繪畫作品中的荷花,來觀看荷花的生命意象是如何在許多不同結構系統中呈現其豐富的樣貌。並且藉由生物學、植物生理學與哲學的角度來重新審視關於生命的疑問與臆測。
在不斷地摸索與嘗試下,藉由半抽象表現的創作風格,透過平面化、微觀與符號化的表現方式,將荷花於現實世界中呈現的形象轉化為荷花生命力展現的意象。希望藉由繪畫創作的表現,傳達出筆者對於生命本質意義的新視野與想像。
This study originates from the author's observation and reflection of the lotus pond in the courtyard of the home. Under the passage of seasons and the change of time, the life cycle of the lotus is cyclical, which prompts the author to think about the essence of life and how to express the image of life through paintings. Therefore, this thesis takes lotus as the object, and the appearance in the life cycle as the theme, trying to construct a complete creational context and paintings through the theoretical basis and the practiceof paintings. The theoretical basis will be based on the apparent phenomena in the life of the lotus, starting from the objective understanding activities, through the discussion of the ecological environment and humanistic background of the lotus, and gradually exploring how the derived mental content concretizes the image. By analyzing and discussing the lotus in literary, religious and paintings, show how the life image of lotus presents its rich appearance in many different structural systems. Meanwhile, from the perspective of biology, plant physiology and philosophy to re-examine the questions and speculations about life issues.With constant exploration and experimentation, through the semi-abstract expressive style of flat, microcosmic and symbolic expression, the image of the lotus in the real world will transform into the life image of lotus. Hopefully, the author can convey new vision and imagination of the essential meaning of life through the practice of paintings.
