自己的「地方」──陳薇文創作論述

Abstract

本文係以筆者自2014年末開始之大學畢業製作至研究所期間作品為研究對象，此脈絡下萌生之系列作品，內容描繪筆者自身生活周遭的人、事、物，與所處空間、地方產生情感上的聯繫，藉由藝術創作讓記憶與感受有個抒發的管道，用地理學的角度重新詮釋筆者自己心中之那個「地方」。 第二章從地理學的角度探討「地方」與空間之間的關係，認識空間的多元樣貌，接著釐清「地方」究竟為何物，將焦點聚焦在能使筆者內心觸動之有回憶的地方，最後分析探討東西方藝術家表現空間的不同方式，藉此從中學習並試圖作出突破。 第三章中闡述本研究作品之思想內容與形式表現，首先說明筆者的創作理念與思維，將筆者創作慣用的元素及表現的緣由說明之；接著描述創作的形式風格與脈絡，最後就媒材與技法表現上，介紹筆者習慣的創作模式與方法。 筆者接著於第四章進一步分析各系列創作之內容涵意，由「穿」系列、「家」系列到「這裡」系列，筆者對於家、家屋、家鄉、生活的城市一直有種濃厚的歸屬感、地緣性與向性，希冀自己能為這些「地方」作出貢獻與回應，因此藉由無時無刻觀察身邊的細微變化，描繪生活周遭的日常景色，以臺灣在地風景為主體，表現出本土性與地方性，既取材自地方街景、城市空間，同時也來自於自身經驗和情感的積累，反應出個人成長的軌跡，用最靜態的方式，為自己的地方與每一份感動，留下最深刻的回憶與註解。This thesis is based on the author’s creation as an artist from the end of 2014 to the period of graduate school. The series of works under this context depict the people and things relating to the artist's own life, and the emotions derived from the artist’s daily surroundings. Through artworks, the artist shows her memory and feeling to the audience, reinterpreting the place in the author's own heart from the perspective of geography. The second Chapter helps readers explore the relationship between "place" and space from the perspective of geography, learn multiple appearances of space, and then clarify what exactly "place" is. To start with, the artist focuses on the "place" where touch her heart, and finally, analyzes the different ways in which East and West artists express their space in order to learn from them and then try to break through. The third Chapter expounds the ideology and forms of expression of the researched paintings. Firstly, it explains the artist's ideas and thinking, showing the artist's elements of works and the inspiration for her creation. Then it describes the formal style and context of the creation. Finally, in terms of media and the techniques, the artist introduces her own patterns and methods of the creation. In the end, in the fourth chapter, the author further analyzes the contents of her series of creations. From "Through", "Home", "Here" series, the artist has shown a strong sense of belonging and gravitation to her home, house, hometown, and living city, hoping that she can contribute and respond to these "places". Therefore, by observing the subtle changes around, the artist depicts the daily scenery around her life. The works, which show locality, was inspired by local streetscapes, urban spaces and come from the accumulation of the artist’s own experience and emotions. They also reflect the trajectory of personal growth, leaving the most profound memories and annotations for one’s own “place” and emotions in the most static way.
