Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between life adjustment and mental health of workplace workers and to investigate the mediating effect of career adaptability between life adjustment and mental health. The objects of this study were the employees of private enterprises in Taiwan. The employed instruments comprised New Life Adaptation Scale for Youth, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale—Taiwanese Form, and Positive Mental Health Scale. The data were collected utilizing a questionnaire survey. There are a total of 678 valid samples collected. The applied analysis methods included descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and bootstrapping. The results of this study were as follows:1.Workplace workers’ background variables have significant differences in life adjustment.2.Among the background variables to career adaptability of workplace workers, the significant variables are workplace seniority, education degree, and job grade; the insignificant variables are gender and age.3.Workplace workers’ background variables have significant differences in mental health.4.Workplace workers’ life adjustment and career adaptability have predictability toward mental health.5.The Career adaptability of workplace workers has a full mediation effect on the relationship between life adjustment and mental health.
