dc.description.abstract文學選集被認為是典律被具現化的一種形態。 zh_TW
Literary anthologies could be a form in which canons are established. Being chosen, some works are preserved, have been more widely available, or even become classics. Therefore, examining literary anthologies is a way to explore canons. This study discusses the cultural imagination presented in modern prose anthologies in Taiwan from 1999 to 2019, and the canons on which the editors relied to reflect these imaginations.Based on the concept of selective canon, this study analyzes various imagined canons in modern prose anthologies in Taiwan from a macro perspective. Regarding chapter arrangement, this study examines the literary (historical) perspective of the series of anthologies, the generational/contemporary position of the annual prose anthologies, the canonical attempt to list the famous prose writers, and the editorial characteristics of the"post-1980s" prose anthologies. It provides an overview into the editorial perspectives and its practices of modern prose anthologies in Taiwan, and explores the imagined nature of the prose canon. This study points out that the prose anthologies in the last two decades do not have a solid and unique canon. The prose canons that have been shaped by the operation of various canonical rules in Taiwan literature are often manifested in anthologies of prose by the cultural imagination and ideological manipulation of those who hold the editorial authority and responsibility in the selection process. Taiwan's modern prose canons are created by editors from different positions, literary groups, generations, or eras, using various imaginations of the prose genre to produce diverse writing canons, which are then presented in various anthologies. The canonization of modern prose results from the imagination and its practice of different editors, not a universally recognized canon.en_US
