dc.description.abstractThis article describes some indicators provided by ISI’s Journal citation Reports (edition 1998) for the field of geosciences. This field is subdivided in twenty categories. Average values of the journal impact factor, total number of citations, immediacy index, and the number of source items are given and discussed. It is concluded that these indicators have lower values than the average journals covered by the JCR.en_US
