Abstract
" The Daily Life in Hong Kong Day" is a series of art behavior focus on Hong Kong local culture, especially on the embodiment of citizens' daily life to derivative a kind of direct and instantiated art behaviour expression then to generate several arts in “Hong Kong’s Way” (Tim Wong Solo Exhibition, 2015). It can be analyzed as three main parts: generation of Hong Kong local life culture, the aesthetics that is shown by Hong Kong citizens, reproducibility of Hong Kong Day through art behaviour. The core value of the study is built on Hong Kongers' daily life habits, behavior and attitude. This study is like a diary in which is record many stories that are familiar to Hong Kong citizens, also seems to be hypocritic yet real. The background is in Hong Kong, and the main character is every Hong Konger. However, the author finds out the common factors which are resonant with citizens and gets a glimpse of the "Hong Kong Day" style influenced by hegemony, and trying to reduce some physical appearances that are embodied in Hong Kongers' daily life by means of digital images and interactive installation. In the study process, the author views the characteristics of the citizens’ daily life as “code”. The code is generated by the author through the “traveller (third person)” perspective to record, collect, split, and reconstruct the Hong Kong life culture and citizens’ daily behavior observed by the author and season with the personal experience and feeling of the living environment change over the years to gestate the art behavior. The objects in the study are regarded as the objective symbol; how to compose the valuable symbols or scenery is the author’s subjective expression. The author hopes to conclude the aesthetics performance of Hong Kong Day and “fluoroscope” Hong Kong Day local life style and value through the art. Meanwhile, creating a platform and opportunity for viewers' in-depth self-exploration to provide the viewers a space to ponder and reflect on "meaning of life".
