Abstract
本研究係邀請台灣五位傑出工業設計師作為研究參與者,以深度訪談及蒐集相關文件、作品進行研究,據以瞭解傑出工業設計師對「設計創造力」的定義、傑出工業設計師之人格特質與創造歷程。綜合本研究之結果,有以下三點重要結論:
一、「設計創造力」的定義
這五位傑出工業設計師對於「設計創造力」的定義可歸結為三個向度,分別是「洞察」、「結合」及「新穎」:亦即透過對於事物「洞察」瞭解的經驗,以類比「結合」的方式產出「新穎」的概念。
二、 人格特質
由研究參與者的訪談資料中,可歸納出工業設計師的一些共同特質,如:具有獨創、高度想像力;理性與感性兼備;動機強烈、認真專注;具有高度的溝通表達能力;直觀;高度美感;高度使命感。
三、創造歷程
五位傑出工業設計師之創造歷程可分為七個階段分析探討:(1)瞭解及蒐集資訊;(2)擬訂設計規範;(3)構思; (4)繪圖、製作模型;(5)合理化;(6)提案;(7)量產上市。
The study was targeted five of the distinguished domestic industrial designer. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and literature reviews. The main purposes were directed toward examining personality traits and creation process of the targeted subjects. The following were three major findings: A. Definition of design creativity All of the five industrial designer defined the design creativity in terms of three major components: insight, combination, and novelty. Their design creativities were inspired through the bountiful insight experiences of thing, and by combining with the methods of analog to come up with the concept of novelty. B. Personality traits Data obtained from the interviews reveals clusters of personality traits, which include, inimitable originality; limitless imagination; reality and sensibility; intensive motivation and attention; communication skill; keen intuition ; respectable sense of beauty; mission. C. Creation process The creation process involved all the five subjects could be delineated as the following 7 steps: (a) understanding and researching data; (b) making the design rule; (c) structuring of thinking; (d) constructing and making the model; (e) reasonableness; (f) making proposals and (g) making mass products to the market.
