電影蒙太奇形式應用於圖像敘事之研究

Abstract

本研究從表現形式的角度，探討兒童圖畫書如何於書頁畫幅中，以及頁次連續間，藉由畫面間的安排，使讀者能僅從敘事插圖，連貫故事的情境架構。透過電影蒙太奇藝術的表現特點，探討圖畫書中多張連續圖像間的關係與敘事性。藉由相關文獻探討的方式，歸納並分析國內外之兒童圖畫書樣本，如何運用圖與圖或頁與頁間，以蒙太奇形式對於敘事與時間之繼續，以及心理內涵等深層意義之有合宜表現與處理。本研究具體目的如下：（一）了解蒙太奇手法應用於圖畫書中對於敘事表現形式的種類。（二）歸納並分析現今兒童圖畫書中各種蒙太奇藝術之使用情形與特性。（三）探討繪者在使用蒙太奇為敘事圖像之原則時的象徵元素與形式。綜合以上分析，歸納並提供創作者以蒙太奇手法運用於圖像敘事時之參考。本研究結果分述如下： （一）圖畫書繪者在表達連續動作或同一事件中多個重點時，常以畫面分格法的方式將重點動作表現於連續的畫格中。 （二）類似畫面分格原則，但打破分格的畫框形式，將圖像以交錯或並列的方式錯置於同一畫面中，加強事件的連續性。 （三）衝突與對比、象徵與隱喻，同時應用於故事結構與圖像表像中，是蒙太奇藝術表現的主要形式。 （四）運鏡原理中景深變化與視點轉變，可增加圖像本身的運動效果以及畫頁的連續性。 擬於從蒙太奇藝術之原則探討圖畫書中圖像的敘事性，分析歸納出蒙太奇敘事圖像的特性，並於最後透過實際應用，結合電腦數位技術完成蒙太奇敘事圖像之創作。

關鍵字：蒙太奇、圖像敘事、圖畫書Based on perspective of expression form, this study intends to find out how the illustrations on each page in the children picture book are arranged that can be understood by a flipping, even if there are no text as a guide to the story. Through the characteristics of movie montage art, searching the relationship between continuous pictures in a picture book and seeking for the narration are two major points in this study. Reviewing the related literatures, this study makes up the induction by analyzing domestic and foreign children picture books. It adopts montage form as means to describe a story and to represent the phenomenon of time continuity by interleaving pictures and pages. The objectives of the study area listed as follows: 1. To understand the narrative manifestation of montage in picture books. 2. To analyze the present characteristics and appliance of montage art to the children picture book. 3. To probe into the analysis of symbol element and form of montage expression in narrative picture books. With the above statements and literatures reviewing, this study proposes the following conclusions: 1. Creators often draw the point action in each frame to express the continuous action or several important parts in events. 2. It’s similar to framing principle but picture clipping form is substituted. Instead, interlaces and juxtapose of pictures is utilized for emphasizing the continuity in a event. 3. Confliction and contrast, symbolization and metaphor are both applied in story structure and picture form as the main expression form of montage art. 4. Using the change of depth of field and viewing angle of the picture can increase the effect of exercising in the picture and continuity of each page. Upon the principles of montage art, this study explores the narration of pictures and illustrations in picture books, analyzes and induces characteristics of narrative pictures, and applies it into creation. Then a series of creation of narrative pictures in montage art is completed through the usage of computer digital techniques.
