融入IB-PYP探究理念之《Hello,華語!Starter》幼兒教材發展

Abstract

全球華語學習與教學正蓬勃發展,依據供需現象,華語為第二語言的教材雖有陸續推出,但專門針對國際學校的幼兒華語教材還可以有很大的發展空間。根據語言發展理論,幼兒又是語言開發的最佳關鍵時期。因此,本研究以發展融入IB-PYP探究理念之《Hello,華語!Starter》幼兒教材,符合二語學習理論以探究情境、多向認知、直覺吸收、累積經驗、建立邏輯等接續《Hello,華語!》的教材而編寫以應適時之需。 「國際文憑」組織小學階段超學科模式;在六個具有全球意義的跨學科主題的指導下,學生通過發展他們的概念、理解來加深他們的學習; 加強在學科領域內外的知識和技能。因此,編寫融入IB-PYP幼兒華語教材以六個主題單元、八大重要核心概念及十項學習者目標。參考「國際文憑組織」小學階段的超學科模式,編輯專屬國際學校使用的幼兒華語教材。遵循IB-PYP六大主題、核心概念及相關概念之平衡發展,在六個具有全球意義的學科主題下,學生通過發展概念來理解加深他們的學習,加強他們在學科領域內外的知識和技能。從六大單元導入認識自己及其他自我探究,激發對自我表達能力,獲得對周遭環境的認識,習得知識、增強技能並養成負責任的態度;教材編輯以探究式學習模式習得語言與文化。 本研究以幼兒華語文教材的文獻分析探究華語幼兒教材之發展現況。根據IB-PYP六大主題單元,以5-6歲幼兒為基礎之學習內容、培養學生開放性思考,開發潛在能力,達成學習目標,對周圍環境,對世界認識、關懷,最終以愛地球為宗旨。經過統整規劃編輯,與專家學者和出版單位合作,於2018年7月完成全新《Hello,華語! Starter 1》和《Hello,華語! Starter 2》幼兒教材,分為1、2兩冊。這套教材針對IB-PYP國際文憑組織的核心理念所編寫,因此,無論在世界的任何地方,只要符合多元發展的國際學校都可以使用這套超學科領域的幼兒華語教材,讓幼兒快樂學華語,進而能奠定未來通往世界之基礎。
Global Chinese language learning and teaching is booming. According to supply and demand, Chinese language as a second language textbook has been launched one after another, but there is a lot of room for the development of Chinese language textbooks for international schools. Theory of language development suggest that childhood isthe best period for language development. Therefore, this study aims to develop the "Hello, Chinese! Starter" children's textbooks by incorporating the IB-PYP (International Baccalaureate-Primary Year Program, hereinafter referred to as IB-PYP) inquiry concept in order to meet the needs of time. The IB-PYP is an interdisciplinary model. students develop their concepts under the guidance of six globally relevant interdisciplinary themes. Through these themes, students can deepen their learning through a deep understanding of the material; strengthen their knowledge and skills within and outside the subject area. Therefore, the preparation of the children's Chinese language teaching materials is in accordance with the six themes, eight important core concepts and ten learner goals. The revision of children's Chinese language textbooks used by international schools is based on the standards set by the International Baccalaureate Organization’s interdisciplinary model which consists of six themes. The themes are “Introduce yourself and others”, “stimulate self-expression”, “gaining knowledge of the surrounding environment”, “acquisition of knowledge”, “enhancing skills” and “develop a responsible attitude”. The textbooks are also written for students to acquire language and culture according to inquiry-based learning model. This study uses literature analysis and action research to study the development of Chinese language teaching materials. The materials are designed according to the six major theme units of IB-PYP with the learning content designed for 5-6 years old children to develop students' open thinking”, discover their potential, achieve learning goals, understand the environment, care for the world, and ultimately love the earth. After overall planning and editing, in cooperation with experts, scholars and publishers, the new "Hello, Chinese! Starter 1" and "Hello, Chinese! Starter 2" children's textbooks were completed in 2018. They have been divided into the first and second volumes. As this set of interdisciplinary textbooks is written with the core concepts of the IB-PYP International Baccalaureate Organization in mind, they, therefore, can be used in any part of the world which is required to meet the requirement of multi-disciplinary international schools. Children will derive joy from learning Chinese thus laying the foundation for the future to the world.
