國中體育班學生文化之研究─以橄欖球隊學生為例

Abstract
近年來國內的教育改革潮流中,多元適性的選擇與發展儼然已成為最受關注的焦點,於2014年正式實施的十二年國教更是強調適性揚才的重要性,尤其是特殊才能班級應是最能突顯此項理念的制度設計。然而其中體育班相較於數理資優班、音樂班、美術班等,鮮少受到關注。在國內升學主義的脈絡下,體育班往往被視為學生課業低落的最後一條選擇道路,因此經常被標籤化是「頭腦簡單、四肢發達」,抑或是「不須念書即能升學」的後段班級,缺乏資源的補助與關照。
前導研究中發現,國中體育班內橄欖球隊屬於較為弱勢的群體,因此本研究進入國中體育班實際觀察橄欖球隊學生如何適應學校環境,以及在適應的過程中,又是如何受到老師、同儕與學校的影響,進而引領其思想與行動,並運用相關學校適應策略以求生存之道。本研究選取北部地區某所設立體育班的國中作為研究現場,以八年級體育班的橄欖球隊學生為研究對象,採取長期參與觀察、深度訪談與文件分析等質性研究方式,從七年級前導研究進入現場進行實徵資料的蒐集至八年級、九年級正式研究結束,研究時程為期近三年左右。透過教室現場觀察以及學生、老師與家長的深度訪談,而後進行資料分析,歸納出以下結論:
一、分流制度影響國中體育班橄欖球隊學生的資源分配與師生互動。
二、橄欖球運動「團結」與「服從」的精神形塑國中體育班橄欖球隊學生文化。
三、國中體育班橄欖球隊學生學校適應策略轉變背後隱含升學主義之影響。
四、國中體育班橄欖球隊學生文化潛藏階級與性別因素的交錯關係。
In Taiwan, the pressure of credential and academic achievement has great impact on student adaptation in school. Especially for athletic students, most of them are labeled because of the learning difficulties and impact on their adaptation strategies to school living. The purpose of this study was to explore the student culture of junior high school rugby team and focused on their school adaptation. The participants of this study were the second grade athletic class of a junior high school in northern Taiwan. This study applied participant observations and interviews to collect the data. The major findings for research are as follows: (1) Tracking system affected resource assignment and teacher-student interaction; (2) The culture of rugby shaping the student culture of junior high school rugby team; (3) Pressure of credential and academic achievement has changed the adaptation strategies; (4) The student culture of junior high school rugby team involve the factors of class and gender.
