Abstract

本研究計畫希望以新興能源教育為主題,透過體驗學習方案的精神,將之於偏遠地區高中實施。體驗學習方案(ELOB)強調課程的嚴謹性、相關性與師生關係建立,在美國、澳洲等國家實施多年,被證明對於提升弱勢團體的學習有相當大的助益。本研究計畫希望能結合在臺灣推行ELOB方案頗有經驗的外展教育基金會,對教育研究與評鑑及弱勢者教育十分關心的國立臺灣師範大學教育研究與評鑑中心,高瞻計畫課程研發團隊,以及金山高中共同合作,將高瞻計畫導入偏遠與弱勢高中,以將前瞻性的科學領域與科技導入偏遠與弱勢高中,使得科技素養之提升無界線,縮短城鄉與弱勢族群之間的科技落差,促成教育機會均等。未來可將此經驗轉移至其他偏遠與弱勢高中。
Implementation of High Scope Science and Technology Education in Disadvantaged and Rural High Schools: The ELOB Approach This research focuses on the education of new energy in high school using ELOB as the spirit of curriculum and teaching design. ELOB curriculum focuses on 3 Rs: rigorous, relevance, and relationship. Such program has been proved to raise the academic accomplishments of disadvantaged students in the U.S. and other countries. With the help of Outward Bound Taiwan, who has introduced ELOB to Taiwan via international conference, workshop and curriculum experiment, the participation of the Center for Educational Research and Evaluation at National Taiwan Normal University, who specialized in educational research, evaluation, and the education of disadvantaged students, the experts from High Scope Team, who develop high scope curriculum, and Jin-shan High school, we wish to introduce high scope curriculum to rural and disadvantaged high school students. The goal is to close the gap in science literacy between urban and rural areas as well as advantaged and disadvantaged students. Experiences from this research will be discussed and transferred to other rural and disadvantaged high schools.
