The main purpose of this study is to delve into the relationships among learning attitude, mental health and interpersonal relationships. All told, 381 junior high school students in Taitung country, ranging from seventh to ninth graders, participate in this study. Instruments used in this study include: "Adolescent Learning Attitude Scale", "Positive Mental Health Scale", and "Interpersonal Relationships Scale for Junior High School Students". The data is statistically analyzed with descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson’s product moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The major results are as follows: 1. A marked gender difference in interpersonal relationships is found. 2. Learning attitude and mental health are significantly different among groups of different grades. 3. Gender and grades have significant interaction on ―optimistic and enterprising and ―interpersonal cognitive subscale. 4. Learning attitude is significantly correlated with mental health. 5. Interpersonal relationships are significantly correlated with mental health. 6. Learning attitude is significantly correlated with interpersonal relationships. 7. Learning attitude and interpersonal relationships can effectively predict mental health and account for 40.9% variances. Implications of the results for practitioners as well as suggestions for future research are proposed.
