高等教育文化再製之研究---以某大學日間/進修部為例

Abstract

本研究欲探討大學日間/進修部文化再製的現象,分別以某大學日間/進修部各兩位畢業生以及兩位教授作為訪談對象,採用質性研究之個案研究法及深度訪談法,透過此研究給予高等成人教育政策相關制定者的政策參考。 研究結果顯示,大學日間部學生因原生家庭在經濟資本較為優渥,所能轉換成文化以及社會資本的機會較多,而進修部學生受限於家庭經濟而能轉換成其他資本的機會有限,兩者進入到大學後,透過學校的相關政策制定與執行再製其優劣勢階級的象徵符號,讓兩者原先的資本條件差距持續並加以擴大。因此透過學校文化再製的結果,日間/進修部學生畢業後分別在工作與學術場域中,兩者原先具有的優劣勢條件加以延續和擴大,並且再製日間/進修部的階級象徵符號。
The study investigated cultural reproduction in the day division and division of continuing education of a university. A case study viewed on a university as context, used in-depth interviews with 2 graduates of the day division, 2 graduates of the division of continuing education, as well as 2 professors, to propose suggestions for higher education policy. The study indicated that students, studying in the day division, with financial support from originated family, transformed sufficient economic capitals into cultural and social capitals. By contrast, the capitals held by students of the division of continuing education were relatively limited. This disparity was widened because of the classed symbols reproduced by the administrative management in university. Furthermore, the disparity of capitals will continue, broaden, and reproduce the symbols of classed division in the graduates’ future work or academic field.
