漫畫融入英語閱讀教學成效之行動研究

Abstract
本研究運用漫畫做為英語閱讀教材,使用相關英語閱讀策略以及故事結構帶領學生進行英語閱讀,探討運用漫畫融入於國中七年級英語閱讀教學後,學生的英語閱讀理解能力之提升情形以及學生英語閱讀動機之轉變。
本研究採用行動研究法,以研究者任教之國中七年級26位學生為研究對象,以漫畫融入英語閱讀教學之中,並使用相關的閱讀策略和故事結構進行為期一個月,每週五堂英語課前15分鐘的英語漫畫融入英語閱讀教學。教學期間以學生閱讀動機量表、學生閱讀理解能力測驗、故事結構學習單、課堂觀察記錄,以及教學省思等工具蒐集質性與量化資料。
本研究結果發現如下:
一、漫畫融入英語閱讀教學能有效提升國中七年級學生英語閱讀動機。
二、漫畫融入英語閱讀教學能有效提升國中七年級學生英語閱讀理解能力。
The purpose of the action research was to use comics as teaching materials in English reading instruction and adopt some reading strategies and story grammar to guide the seventh graders in the researcher’s school to read. Then the researcher used the action research to investigate the effectiveness of the students’ reading comprehension ability in English and the change of the reading motivation in English. The researcher collected both qualitative and quantitative information from 26 seventh-grade students in junior high school. The instruction conducted for one month, five sessions per week. The researcher collected qualitative and quantitative data through Motivations for Reading Questionnaire, reading comprehension tests, story map worksheets designed by the researcher, classroom observations, and the researcher’s reflections. The results of this study were summarized as following: 1. Integrating comics into English reading instruction can promote seventh-grade students’ reading motivation in English. 2. Integrating comics into English reading instruction can promote seventh-grade students’ reading comprehension ability in English.
