Item Measuaring the Process Innovation Competency of Casa Pellas Company in Nicaragua(2011-06-14) Cheng-Ping Shih; Jocelynn GutierrezNowadays due to globalization, companies are facing many challenges, one of them is innovation. This is because; innovation involves the adoption of new products and/or processes to increase competitiveness and overall profitability. (Kenny B., Reedy E. 2006) Therefore, this study aims at examining how the theory Framework of Innovation developed by Panne et. Al. (2003) affects the IPOT research model developed by Shih & Tseng (2009), and will help us to determine if this model fits traditional industry. As an example of traditional company, the study of Casa Pellas will be used. To validate the results, a well-known, profitable and innovative company should be analyzed, for which Casa Pellas completely qualifies. By using a multiple regression analysis and backward elimination, we will study the four success factors. In this study, a fifth factor will be added to reflect the importance of the demographic-factor in the success of a company. Although the IPOT is composed of innovation competency, process, organizational and technical innovation, the focus of this study will introduce the benefits of process innovation. The empirical results most of the five independent factors are significant.Item Measuaring the Organizational Innovation Competency of Casa Pellas Company in Nicaragua(2011-07-15) Cheng-Ping Shih; Jocelynn GutierrezItem Measuring Technical Innovation Competency of Casa Pella Company in Nicaragua(2011-12-06) Cheng-Ping Shih; Jocelynn GutierrezItem Transitional Changes of Labor Migration under Knowledge Based Economies for EU Developed Countries(2011-06-07) Cheng-Ping Shih; Jasmine Lauren BrownmOn facing the transitional change of developed countries for the last four decades, labor migration has become a serious issue under knowledge based economies. Human resources can easily cross the board but cannot transfer from one sector to different sectors without job training. The transition of structural change has great impact on labor migration and is one of the most important effects of modernization. The structure of developed countries transformed from labor intensive to capital intensive economies during the 1970’s to late 1980’s. At this stage, industrialization aimed at transforming the surplus labor force in order to resolve disguised unemployment and structural unemployment dilemmas. After the 1990’s, developed countries invested in Information Technology infrastructure on a large scale and have therefore experienced the knowledge based economies which caused serious structural unemployment for two decades. In order to understand the transition probability of labor migration across sectors, the Markov chain model is applied in this research. One stage and two stage methods were estimated and the empirical results show that the probability of laborers staying in the primary industry in highly industrialized countries is lower; secondly, the probability of workers moving from the primary and secondary sector to the tertiary sector is generally lower as a result of a low education level in the masses of rural laborers; thirdly, in the EU, the probability of laborers staying in the tertiary sector is above 98%; lastly, the Chi-square test shows that labor migration has significant impact on structure change in European developed countries.Item The Return And Value of Intellectual And Human Capital(2010-11-14) Cheng-Ping Shih; Hao-Yuan LinItem Measuring the Impact of International Human Capital on Technical Innovation Competency: A Case Study of Microsoft Taiwan(2010-11-14) Cheng-Ping Shih; Wei-Ting Sun; Ma-Li LeeItem The Impact of International Human Capitalon Firm’s Innovation Competency: A case study on Microsoft Taiwan(2010-10-26) Cheng-Ping Shih; Shu-Wei KoItem An Empirical Study Measuring The Effects Of Motivation and Demographic Factors on NTNU Students’ Academic Performance(2011-05-27) Cheng-Ping Shih; Jasmine Lauren BrownmItem An empirical study on the combined effects of KM Enablers and KM Strategies Organizational Performance: A Case Study of Taiwan ICDF(2011-03-09) Peter Jean-Paul; Cheng-Ping ShihItem Evaluating the Impact of Knowledge Management System on Talent using Academic Performance(2011-01-20) Melton Morrison; Cheng-Ping Shih
