新加坡實施雙語教育近半個世紀,華文教師的教育背景也隨著政策由受華文教育轉為受雙語教育;在雙語教育的系統下,新加坡華語為第二語言之師資培訓的現況究竟為何?在新加坡2004年的華文教學檢討報告中,提到了華文師資為華文教學改革之關鍵,除了有必要增加華文教師的來源,也應重新檢討華文教師的職前和在職培訓,使其更有系統性,而在2010年的華文教學改革中,再次提到了擴大華文教師來源和招聘管道的必要,以及職前和在職師資培訓之問題。由此可見,新加坡華文教師在「質」與「量」方面都面臨了問題。新加坡華文師資培訓的現況究竟如何? 本論文旨在從新加坡華文師資培訓著手,通過對於新加坡華文教育系統和教師之職前培訓課程的闡述,探討新加坡華文教師所具備之素養與能力,以及新加坡華文教師在「質」與「量」方面所面臨的問題和造成問題的原因,並且針對未來之發展提出建議。
